Serena had the privilege of growing up in a Christian home and doesn’t remember a time when she didn’t know of God’s great love for her. She put her trust in Jesus while in primary school, continued to grow in relationship with God throughout high school, and became very involved with the Sydney University Evangelical Union while studying at university. Serena came to Moore straight from university to study a one-year Diploma.
“This year, I’ve been reminded again and again of the importance of God’s word. I’ve been challenged to think theologically about how the gospel changes everything, and how we are to live in light of this wonderful truth. I’m also very thankful for the genuine care and kindness of my friends and the Moore College faculty—they have been a great blessing and encouragement to me particularly when I’ve found College hard.”
Serena plans to work as a lawyer, however she’s confident her time at Moore will have: “better equipped me for a lifetime of ministry in whatever capacity that may be.”
